Grade 5 and 6 Camp

From the 2nd May till the 5th May, the Grade 5 and 6 students attended the school camp at Sovereign Hill and then Kryal Castle. We began our trip early Wednesday morning, travelling to Sovereign Hill in a bus via towns such as Bendigo, Daylesford and Creswick that have significant historical backgrounds. When we got to our destination (Sovereign Hill) we participated in many activities over two days, such as: panning, sight-seeing of buildings and landmarks, information sessions about the diggers’ lifestyles, Chinese migrants, medicines, mine tours, gold pour presentation, candle and candy making demonstrations, Blood on the Southern Cross show, Pantomime shows, bowling and much more! On our final day, we travelled to Kryal Castle where we participated in many workshops such as medieval medicine, archery, sword fighting and we learnt about knights and nobles. Further, the students got to explore the maze, view a doucting battle, look and play with the animals and chest set and more. Everyone had such a wonderful time! Overall it was an excellent experience that I would recommend to all.

Kind Regards,
